“The Highway Man’ has always been one of my favorites. When I was a boy my friends and I played cowboys. We loved it. Roy Rogers was my hero. He was honest, true, and always played fair, and I wanted to be just like him when grew up. But I never became a cowboy and I never learned to ride a horse. So this painting was, in a way, just re-living some of my childhood dreams.”
